Three candidates are set to run for the two vacant School District of Superior Board of Education seats. On April 1, 2025, the Spartan community will vote to complete out the 2025-2026 School Board. Those running for the vacant positions include:
Ed Gallagher (Incumbent)
Kathryn Guimond
Shelly A. Moen
Incumbent board member Brooke Taylor will not seek re-election. She filed her non-candidacy paperwork by the December 27, 2024 deadline.
A primary is not required prior to the April 1, 2025 election. The successful candidates will begin their term on April 28, 2025 and serve through April 2028.
“I’m excited to work with any of these candidates,” said School Board President Steve Olson. “There’s a lot of Spartan pride in Superior and we do our best to provide the best education possible for our students. Our district’s success continues to grow and this upcoming academic year is poised to be a positive one.”
Along with President Olson, the elected members will serve with Treasurer Nick Olson, Clerk Nick Schumacher, Laura Gapske, and Sara Schubert McKone during the 2025-2026 school year. If you have any questions or need more information about the election process, please contact School Board Deputy Clerk Anne Schultz at 715-394-8710.
