Spartan Families Meet New Friends At Transition Night
Posted on 05/08/2024

Springtime is one of the most exciting and busiest times of the year. With honors nights, prom, concerts, athletics, and just enjoying the outdoors, it's certainly one of the best times to be Spartan. With a new season comes a new beginning.

On May 7th, our families were welcome to stop by our five elementary schools for Transition Night. Students who were entering kindergarten or moving to a new school following the 2023-2024 school year stopped by their new elementary school to get a sneak peek of what things would be like in the fall.

The staff welcomed about 50-80 students at each building. Every school hosted an open house-style event where families met their soon-to-be classrooms, administrators, and teachers. To keep things interesting, students were tasked with a scavenger hunt to find various items (or people) within the building to win a prize. Some schools offered snacks, while others had fun activities. A wonderful night for all Spartans!

On April 30th, over 100 Lake Superior Elementary students hopped on the bus to see their new schools. Similar to Transition Night, this allowed the students to meet new staff and get an inside look at their new building during regular school hours. Check out the video above for a recap of the visit to Great Lakes Elementary.

We are so excited for the fall and can’t wait to welcome all our students!
